Barn & Garden

The Barn

The Holistic Healing Barn is in my garden, gated and surrounded by a 7-foot fence, on a farm in rural central Alberta. A rustic, natural country sanctuary at a private and secure location that is also gated for security measures. You will not see others entering or leaving therapy sessions as your professional and personal privacy is honored and respected. I have a soundproof office which also hosts a trauma informed meditation & yoga studio to welcome 4 other women, if groups are needed to assist with exposure therapy. The building is renovated with 25-year-old reclaimed Barn wood.

At the Holistic Healing Barn your therapy sessions can be virtual, in the office, studio, garden, hot house or while walking on trails throughout the quarter section. The property has been blessed by an Elder and offerings are always given before sage picking.  There are many sage patches on the land, and if you choose each session can start with a smudge and prayer, or if needed we will pick some sage for you to take home.

Amenities

Holistically, there are four parts of us as humans: our Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual selves; therefore, we will create a treatment plan together that is centered around your healing, internal integration and external connections.

Sitting in the garden “earthing” - having your feet touching the warm soil or entering the “hot house” - still outside but protected from natures elements are also options alongside the barn. Trauma informed mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork will be guided and practised in each session prior to your departure to ensure grounding and nervous system regulation are completed.

At the Holistic Healing Barn our therapy promotes personal freedom, safety and connection to be our authentic selves. There are cameras located outside the office, and the gates entering the garden for additional safety measures. Once inside the garden, phones are to be silenced to ensure your 1.5hrs of therapy is not interrupted.
