I am a certified and registered Mental Health Therapist who uses a combination of psychotherapy modalities that are holistic, client centered, trauma informed, and outcome based. As of 2024, I have been practicing for 31 years. I am respectful, empowering, intuitive, and culturally sensitive while providing mental health therapy, clinical supervision or managing front line professionals. Humor is also an important part of my practice as well as being my authentic self.
My vast experience working with Traumatized individuals, families and communities have been eye opening, fast paced and often involves helping others walk through the dark side of humanity. My three decades of clinical training and ongoing annual therapeutic certifications for licensing and registration requirements ensures I hold the skills needed to treat others who have worked with or experienced poverty, abuse, organized crime, addiction and mental health, living on and off Indigenous Reservations, Metis Settlements, including collaborating with systems and professionals from RCMP, CFSA, Mental Health, Primary Care Services, Probation, Judicial System, Schools, Universities, Chief and Council and Farming Communities.
My Practice
My private practice is designed for professional women who are suffering and feel stuck on their healing journey. Women on a medical or stress leave, retired or currently providing front line human services, including but not limited to social workers, therapists, teachers, medical professionals, correctional services professionals, clinical supervisors, team leads, farmers, managers etc., who are wanting therapy for: Toxic Stress, Burn Out, Personal/Relationship Trauma, Vicarious Trauma, Intergenerational Trauma, Oppression and Systemic Trauma, Childhood Trauma, Grief and Loss from loosing a family member or client to accidental death, suicide, homicide, or overdose.
My career is my passion, I am a knowledge seeker and love to continually learn and grow, both personally and professionally. Currently at the age of 57, I am registered in a 200 hr Yoga Certification Course, as well as completing International Somatic Experiencing Practitioner Certification, while working .75 in a rural community with Recovery Alberta. I practice top down and bottom-up approaches in individual and group therapy.
